Today I decided to go on a walk going north....
While I was walking I started to feel hungry, so I decided that my first destination would be, "La Condesa" a popular high-class neighborhood know for all the great places to eat, and hang out with friends.
When finally got there, I started walking around; till I finally got to a bohemian restaurant called "Cafe Toscano y La Crepa Parisienne," where I had a spectacular breakfast for only $10 USD including tip. I asked the server for an interesting place that I should visit. He told me about a beautiful building called BASURTO, but on my effort to find it, I crossed parks, malls, and huge avenues, but I finally realized I was lost.
Instead of walking back, I decided to keep walking.
After 20mins I got to the neighborhood "La Roma" a place full of Art Galleries, old statues and incredible architecture from the past century. After taking a huge amount of pics I decided to keep walking.
After another 30mins of walking; I got to the famous avenue, "Reforma" but as I was walking down the street, I started noticing a bunch of gay
couples walking around. So my first guess was that I was close to "Zona Rosa" the gay town of Mexico City. As I kept walking the view turned in to streets full of a bunch of Sex Shops, Rainbow Flags and colorful places. It was obvious I was at "Zona Rosa." Since it was my first time there I decided to walk around, take some pictures and visit a sex shop called "Erotik" it was a crazy experience, and I'm afraid I won’t come back; It’s nearly impossible to not get raped by crazy gay folks.

Alive, I took "Reforma" again, there I had the chance of looking modern office buildings, great modern art galleries and huge trees, and finally I got to the well known statue "Angel de la Independecia," but the random heavy rain made impossible the access to it. Trying to stay dry I ran to the hotel next to it. There I thought it was a good idea to go up, as far I could go, but in order to use the elevator I needed a key so I waited for someone with the key. When I finally got to the top, I realized that the only way to see the "Angel" was if you had a room. Disappointed I decided to go down again... too bad the elevator wouldn’t move without the key. I waited for 10 mins for someone to come, nobody did. So I had to use the stairs. I barely made it thru the 22 levels. FML
Exhausted I decided to go home. I was not in the mood to walk so I took the first bus that would take me somewhere I knew... it took me to the Metro Station (which I almost missed.) But I Finally made it home.
It was such exhausting experience, but it was worth it. I got to see many sides of the Mexican culture and I got to see awesome landscapes. Ahhh Mexico is full of exciting places.
Like I said: Today I have grown taller from walking with the trees...
